The proper way to enter a curve is to slow down before entering the curve. This approach enhances safety and control for several reasons. When approaching a curve, reducing speed allows drivers to adjust to the decrease in traction and increases their ability to steer effectively. Slowing down helps to maintain stability and prevents the potential for skidding or losing control during the turn.

Additionally, it's important to consider the curvature of the road and whether there are any visual obstructions or hazards that may present themselves in the curve. Entering at a slower speed enables the driver to react appropriately to any challenges that may arise, ensuring a smoother and safer navigation of the curve.

Maintaining speed or accelerating before the curve can lead to an increased risk of losing control, especially if the curve is sharp or the road conditions are less than ideal. Turning sharply could also lead to instability, and that strategy is not conducive to safe driving. Thus, slowing down prior to entering a curve is the most effective and safest technique.
